Standing atop its landmark hill, the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière, built after the war of 1870, is a mixture of Byzantine and medieval elements and has an interior entirely decorated with mosaics. A renowned place of pilgrimage, it offers a beautiful view of Lyon, the Saône Valley and the Monts d'Or. Don’t miss the Gallo-Roman Museum.
